A Word on Jeff’s Event Photography
A change in Jeff’s life brought him to Las Vegas in 2014 and than to a specialty lighting company in 2015. He works in their Event side of the business as a Production Manager and Lighting Technician. The job brings him to many different types of events all over the Las Vegas area but mostly along the Strip. Corporate receptions make up the bulk of the events but there are a few public events and film jobs mixed in. As part of the job requirement technicians are required to take photographs of the event. This has given Jeff the opportunity to expand his photography skills.
This gallery is a sampling of the events Jeff has worked over a course of a year with the company. In most of the images you will see a round light of some sort, white or colored. As part of the photography requirement the lighting set up must be in the picture. This added requirement brings in an interesting dynamic to the task.
These lights come in many forms. The most used form is a five foot air filled light on a stand. Others include helium filled units tethered above the subject being lit. Air filled units on a raft floating on a raft in a pool. A plastic ball that can fit on a ledge or float in a pool.
Enjoy this peek into the world of events in Las Vegas.
